Nutrition – Dealing with symptoms and improving quality of life

Is there a need to eliminate gluten from the diet? Numerous studies have shown that unless there is a celiac disease, gluten does not need to be eliminated from the diet.

That said, it is important to note that many items containing gluten, such as white bread, are often unhealthy choices. Therefore, eliminating these unhealthy gluten-containing foods can indeed provide many health benefits.

Including whole grains in the diet as your gluten source can provide tremendous health benefits and is very recommended. Whole grains are an excellent source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Also, some whole grains, such as whole-wheat pasta, whole grain bread, and cereal, for example, are often fortified with vitamins and minerals that you will be missing out on if you cut gluten out of your diet.
